Unfortunately, we inadvertently scared the bejesus out of our son recently (8/20/05). We took Logan to see the Wiggles in concert and he was scared to death. Logan is not shy and Logan is not quiet. Anyone who has ever been in the room with him for more than 5 minutes while he's awake can attest to that. But, during the concert he just sat on his grandmother's lap and won't move, talk or hardly blink. I tried to get him to sit on lap and he had a fit. I guess it was too loud for him. Give his love for music, I thought he'd be dancing all over the place. I was wrong. Well, at least he'll have interesting things to tell his grandkids.

    We didn't tell Logan we had tickets to see Thomas the Tank Engine, we said we were going for a drive and maybe we'd end up somewhere good. He told us it was a good surprise. We had a nice time even though it was extremely hot. Logan got a couple of different souvenirs, including Thomas Colorforms (yes, they still make them).

Harley! We picked him up Saturday. We have been thinking about getting a dog for a while now. Logan is pretty afraid of dogs, which is why I wanted to get one now, before the fear really sets in. He is an awesome dog. A beagle. He's 8 weeks old and pretty much crate and potty trained already. He's a real sweetie. Take a look...

We took Logan to fireworks yesterday and for some reason he was afraid of them. This is only odd because he has gone to the fireworks every year since he was born and hasn't had any problems with them before. So, we weren't sure if we were going to make it to the fireworks tonite. Matthew broke out these ear protectors he uses when he's working with loud power tools and asked Logan if he would like to wear them. Logan decided he'd like to give it another try. We managed to get through the fireworks with Logan looking like an air traffic controller.

Today was Logan's first day of Summer Preschool. Matthew & I stayed for a little while then told him we were leaving and we would see him later. He didn't even care. He didn't cry or anything, just kept playing. He brought home some artwork in his backpack that is now hanging on the refrigerator.
